This is a restart-less patch, which means there will be no server downtime during the patch. But, you will need to restart your client to receive this patch.


1. Campaign bosses killed after the first kill will now drop less currency items, replacing them with other items


The first time you kill a boss in the campaign there is a high chance for it drop some currency items. Any subsequent kills for the same boss will now have an increased chance to drop other items(like gear) which makes it easier for you to find upgrades.
This also makes it easier to farm gold for passive points respecs by selling the gear if you are short on gold. Or just disenchant the gear if you are short on respective currency items


2. Increased the drop rate of Regal Orbs


Many players were complaining the lack of regal orbs during the campaign. So GGG has increased the drop rate for them by around 40%
If you still think you are running short on regal orbs, one trick is to farm bosses for more items(item drop rate from boss was also buffed during this patch) and disenchant them to gain more regal orbs.


3. Significantly increased the drop rate of Gemcutter's Prisms.


The drop rate of gemcutter's prisms were increased by 500%


Gem cutter's prism gives more quality


A single gemcutter's prism now give +5% to quality rather than +1%.
This change along with increase in drop rate makes it way easier to max out the quality of your gems.


5. Lowered the drop rate of Chaos Orbs and distributed it amongst the other more valued Currency Items


The overall drop rate of currency items have not changed. They have just decreased the drop rate of chaos orbs and increased the drop rate of other currency items like Exalted orbs or regal orbs.


6. Lowered the drop rate of Artificer's Orbs and distributed it to Lesser Jeweller's Orbs


The drop rate of Artificer's orb was lowered and the drop rate of Lesser Jeweller's orbs was increased by same amount(around 33%)
If you are running low on Artificer's orbs you can salvage gear with sockets in them to gain artificer's shard. Combine 10 Artificer's shard to make a Artificer's orb.
!!!Note that the drop rate of LESSER JEWELLER'S ORB was increased.
Lesser Jeweller's orb only increases the support gem limit of you gem from 2->3. If you want to increase it from 3->4 you will need a Greater Jeweller's Orb.


7. Disenchanting Rare Items with 6 Modifiers now provides 2 Regal Shards (previously 1). The value displayed will still show as 1 until a later patch.


Even though Disenchanting Rare items with 6 modifiers now gives 2 regal shards instead of 1, do keep in mind that the more modifiers an item has the more gold it will sell for. And the benefit of selling an item with 6 modifiers usually out ways the value of 2 regal shard. Especially after the buff in drop rates of regal orbs.


8. Increased the values of all Prefix Modifiers that can roll on Waystones. We've also adjusted the chances of getting the more commonly powerful Modifiers such as increases to Rarity and Pack Size


This entails a few things:


9. Monster Modifiers now grant higher amounts of Item Rarity and Item Quantity. This is most common on Magic and Rare enemies, but also affects Unique Enemies if applied through various Endgame Mechanics like the Deadly Evolution Keystone


In POE2 the more difficult the enemy is, the better drop you receive from them.
Rarity of an enemy also increase the difficulty of the monster by giving it more modifiers like extra life or poison on hit.
In this change the rarity bonus of the monster has been doubled and monsters have received a +10% to Quantity bonus per rare mod.
The chance for a rare monster to spawn with more mods have also been increased.
The above changes can also affect unique enemies if you apply them using various endgame mechanic. For example: there is an Atlas Passive Keystone called Deadly Evolution that adds more mods to unique monster on your map.


10. Increased the chance for Rare Monsters in Maps to have 3 or 4 modifiers


As explained in the previous point the more difficult a monster is the better the reward. So by increasing the chance for a monster to spawn with more modifiers the effective chance to get better and more loot has increased per map.


11. Rare Monsters in Map areas are now revealed on the minimap when there are 200 Monsters remaining


Since completing a map requires you to kill all rare and unique monsters on the map, it was difficult to find that one remaining monster on the whole map because the monsters were only shown on the minimap when there were 50 or fewer enemies left on the map. This threshold has been increased to 200 monsters so it should be easier to find those rare and unique monsters to complete the map.


12. Fixed a bug where some Persistent Buff Skills, such as Raging Spirits and Mana Remnants, were not working for the Infernalist when in Demon Form


Infernalist is an ascendency for the witch class where you can take the node called Demonic Possession which grants you the skill Demon Form.


13. Fixed a bug where you could sometimes be unable to interact with the Map Device in The Ziggurat Refuge


This was a bug that was preventing some players from accessing the endgame.


14. Fixed a bug where Monsters Shattered in a Blood Circle Ultimatum Encounter were not contributing blood


This bug was resulting in some player getting stuck on a stage of ultimatum, since the blood was not contributing the lift platform would not lower for them to proceed.


15. Fixed a bug that could cause the instance to permanently stop time (freeze) when trying to revive a Chronomancer


The good old game freeze. Chronomancer really is powerful enough to freeze the game.


16. Fixed a bug where Rare Monsters could not be found within the Chimeral Wetlands


This bug was resulting in players getting even less loot.


17. Fixed a bug where "Move only" was name-locking


Name locking is one of the targeting methods in POE2. Name-locking targets the highlighted enemy and keeps attacking until the key is released. The above bug will result in you following a particular enemy as long as you were holding the key you bound to move only( Available during click to move movement option) which was clearly not the desired intent.
